    Dixie Mountain Flintlock .32 value

Great buy, hope you enjoy shooting it. It will be a great squirrel rifle and a fun range gun.

    Log Cabin Shop Hawken

The one on my Allen is round, the one on my LogCabin is not. I'm not the original owner so I don't know if they were original to the guns.

Kibler has announced a Hawken Kit in the works.

I will probably ship about the same time as Goex

    Thompson Center Hawken percussion rifle

If you put the barrel in a vise, I have used a piece of copper pipe over the barrel a little wider than the vise jaws. The piece of pipe will flatten onto the barrel flats and not damage the barrel. The last T/C breech that I took off broke the jaw of my vise. Those plugs can be extremely hard...

    Thompson Center Hawken percussion rifle

Toot, good advice so far. But here is the T/C factory wrenches and their measurements as close as I could get. Taking the plug off the barrel would be the last resort. Hope you can read my terrible writing. And I didn't check my numbers to see if they matched up going across. These wrenches...

    Finally a pair

Seneca, is the best rifle in the TC family in my book. They have a great fit and feel and shoot very accurately.

    GRRW .58Cal ball size

Thank you, Dan O. I ordered some .570 hopefully they will arrive soon. Have you ever shot the max load 220 grains? I do have a lot of long shot opportunities, but I don't know if my eyes will let me shot much farther than 150 yards.

Does anyone have a Lyman/Ideal or RCBS .570 mould that they no longer need?

Do you have a .570 RB to trade?

    GRRW .58Cal ball size

This is the manual I was referring to. It's also from a GRRW Indian Trade Rifle. I couldn't imagine touching off the max load of 195 grains. I bet that would shake your teeth loose. My rifle is pretty light at 8lbs 12oz, for a Hawken. I would think 195 grains would still be pushing a ball...

    Anyone use one if these?

Should help with accuracy, but could hurt some in low light conditions.

    GRRW .58Cal ball size

I have recently acquired a GRRW Hawken in .58Cal. I don't have any moulds in this caliber range except a .575 minie. I feel it would be an abomination to shoot those out of it. The .575 minie mics at .580 and slides to the bottom of the barrel with no resistance. My gun is H-135 so is pretty...

    Fullstock Flintlock Hawken

Headhunter, great job on the build. Beautiful wood, and I like the destress look. The Griz is just enough bling.
