    Ok what the heck....who made/makes a .68 Bess???? I'm getting ready to load up another lot of smoothbores, some muskets, and I have this. Obviously it's something I've never bothered to touch and I'm just now seeing this. It's a pretty light repro but with no markings.

    If they had pinned the end of the chain to the mainspring it wouldn't be a problem. That or made a bigger hook on the spring. I quit letting people shoot it because folks seem to always turn counterclockwise and throw the chain. I'm really wanting to build one soon. Anyone know who made this????
