    great service at the wolf

This might be old news to some of you, but Track of the wolf has great service. I placed a fair size order with them around $ 200.00 ( for me anyway) a little while ago, and the order was at my door 5 days later. Trust me when I say this is fast considering that I iive in the interior of Alaska...

    casting RB's ect.

I hope this is the right area to ask this question. Why are casting bullet molds for RB's or conicals only 1,2 cavity. Why not use a longer mold that holds 8,10 or even 20 cavity in one pour from your pot. I am not a caster as yet but I am going to start this summer. Also where is the best...

Hello all, I have a T/C New Englander in 54 cal. and I would like to add a patchbox to the butt stock. I would like to maintain the basic theme of this rifle, case hardened or deep blue in color or maybe brass but not brite brass but very stressed or tarnished. The patchbox should be flush fit...

About 6 weeks ago I bought a TC New Englander from a member at GBO and when it arrived the stock was broken. So I sent it to Thompson Center for repairs. I mailed it out the afternoon of the 28th and in that time they gave me a new wood ramrod, replaced the stock and cleaned the rifle. I received...

    mag spark

Hello again, I am not having problems with any one rifle as the only one I have is on it's way to TC, my 54 cal. new englander. I have been looking at my local shop the only local shop for 100 miles, and they can only get sub powders. So I thought I would ask before I have problems. I hate...

    mag spark

I would do that in a minute but everything mailed to Alaska is sent by air. I know items like that could be sent up here on the barge out of Seattle or Bremerton Washington but I am not sure how to get the item on the barge and then on a truck in Anchorage on it's way to me. thanks

    mag spark

Has anyone used on of these, if so is it any good and is there an advantage to using a shotgun primer as a percussion cap. Also is the hot shot nipple worth looking into. Thanks

    Ball Bags

Brownbear, I am only just starting in the black powder world I just bought my first BP rifle about 10 days ago and I haven't even shot it yet. And I can't until I get it back from TC. It is a 54 cal, and I am in Tok. From the pictures I have seen they look like they are very easy to make. I'll...

    Ball Bags

that would be a good idea but the scrotom of the deer we have around here you could put several hundred 54 cal lead balls in it with room to spare. The only deer around this area where I live are the big kind 7 feet tall at the shoulders and 1800 lbs.live weight,(moose) but caribou might work...
