This has probably been asked before

In short, indefinitely...Brokennocks first post contains all of the essential information you need to know. There are a few extreme instances of sudden temperature changes when bringing a gun indoors causing sweating, and it can be a problem, but also has proven not to be, at times...typically...

    What would you have done?

Hey, Brokennock, you misread me. I was saying the game warden is citizen who has has the right to respectfully approach the man and ring his doorbell, and will do so ( not the OP) And that the presence of a game warden knocking on the man's door and asking questions about it would send a clear...

    What would you have done?

I wish you luck...sometimes just a simple knock on the door can solve matters without further issue. You should not be having to deal with this, as you are acting within the law, and have earned your days off...
  4. .36Rooster

    What would you have done?

No. The game warden is in fact a state police officer with all of the same power as one and his purpose is to handle these issues, as it is an area of specialization that general state police officers just don't have the time and knowledge for. The CO's exist as a department inside of the state...

    What would you have done?

I would just call the game warden, and tell him what you've experienced...not only is it hunter harassment, but also threat of wanton/reckless discharge of a firearm...the game warden doesn't need any proof at all. He is allowed to respectfully ring the guys doorbell and ask him questions about...

    Double gunning day....

Heck yes he is! Set up his blind the night before in the dark, and then came back out next morning before sunrise and put up his decoys in the dark too! I just cannot imagine so many crows.

What are a guys options in .36?

It sounds like you are committed to a .36...and i am too, if you look at my name... i own one, but it was the poor result of a venture to obtain one. I call it a closet sitter; as i don't believe in wall hangers. The numerich/hopkins allen minuteman is well worth staying away from, for several...

    Anyone dryfire practice?

I dont want to get near that guy's trigger finger...

    Anyone dryfire practice?

I have never thought of that before

Anyone else thinks this looks like manure?

Well, yes, but i can't help but think if the barrel is round, and the muzzle crown is oval, then a crown job won't hurt matters. Lol

Who is using a 32 caliber

It is a very old cva. The original box and manual are dated 1983, or 1984. I forget exactly which year without digging it out.

    Anyone dryfire practice?

I found out long ago that it mushrooms the nipples on my lyman, but by putting a spent .22 short on the nipple, it works fine...although eventually the .22 short gets so smashed and warped, that it needs to replace every 50 or so hammer drops...although i have slowed down with practing on...

Anyone else thinks this looks like manure?

Brownells is good, Right now, for the cost of the tools, its cheaper than a replacement barrel. But at my pay rate, the time for the labor brings it to about the same cost...but im thinking since im about to dovetail in a front sight to adjust the windage that is off from replacing the hammer...

Who is using a 32 caliber

Sure! Thats my, err... patch container for a size scale. Very pleasurable little gun. Hardly ever shoot it, but its always loaded. Goes with me everywhere.

    Lyman Great Plain 54

You will never be disappointed with a lyman great plains...dont like the sound of those sites...i prefer fixed irons...but these are awesome guns, which tend to take care of you almost slightly more than you take care of them...and as far as accuracy goes, the gun is capable of far greater...

Anyone else thinks this looks like manure?

I dont know, Brokennock. All I got to say is that it's the internet, i guess; And for the several people who've commented despite not having any useful insight on muzzle crowning, then i can't really help them keep from making themselves look bad...this is a thread asking for advice from people...

Who is using a 32 caliber

I carry a .32 brass sidebreak derringer made in the 1980s...fits in the palm of my hand, my coat pocket, hip pocket, looks good on the bookcase at home too. I carry it mostly because it makes me happy. Beautiful plain and authentic little gun...

Anyone else thinks this looks like manure?

Yeah, thats what I'm getting at...i think the solution is to trim back the muzzle an 8th or 16th inch. There is a loading lever latch to worry about so i can't go too far back...the next loading lever assembly available in size is for a 5" barrel and i want to keep it at 7.5"... Whether it...

When you know what you want you also have to know what is worth putting up with to get it. Free education is never going to be pretty. But it is free and puts you ahead.
