    T/C Lock upgrade.

    I was in need of a lock for a T/C flintlock barrel. My choices were a T/C for $90 or the L&R for $130. I went with the L&R. I am waiting on it's arrival. I'll let you all know after I get it. As far as tuning a lock, that was somethng that I always did with a T/C or a Lyman any way.

    Maybe I goofed! I just ordered a T/C replacement on Friday. In my case I bought a flintlock barrel for my Renegade so I need a lock for it. I believe that my first step will be to polish all of the parts. We'll have to see.

    Hornady also makes a conical bullet that is pretty short and is designed just for the round ball twists. With the .50 cal and the short barrel, I used FFFg in the one that I had. I still prefer FFFg even in the .54 cal. They are a joy to carry and shoot, but not much wallup given the bullet...
