Trigger pull is decent. I don’t have a gauge but it is similar to my navy arms 1851 Navy.

TRADE Dixie spiller and burr .36

How about a trade? Gun was fired once and purchased new about 4 years ago. Looking for a steel 1858 or a Lyman trade rifle in .54 percussion.

Navy Arms (Pietta) SxS shotgun, 28" barrel - Opinions ??

I have one of those guns and I received it with a broken lock bridle. It took quite a lot of searching to find one, I even had a local jeweler try and solder the broken one with no luck. No other complaints other than that. It is decent quality and very serviceable.

    Patches burnt through...but

Groups opened slightly today using the ox yoke patches, usually two shots touching with group sizes about an inch at 50 yards. Group was 3 inches at 100 yards. The cotton cleaning patches again had 1 hole results, but groups at 100 opened up to around 5 inches. Think I'll stick with the ox yoke.

    Interesting. Did not know that.

    Patches burnt through...but

I was astonished at the grouping, because of the patch obviously but also because it's a 1-48 twist, I always here the slower twist rates give the best accuracy. I'm going to go to the range tomorrow and perform a more comprehensive test so long as the weather cooperates. I'll let you guys know...
