    Primitive Mould handles

    I have primitive mould handles for casting around the campfire. What would be the best way to keep from burning your hands. I've seen leather wrap and wood pinned. I know I could wear gloves.

    Flintlocks and BP substitutes

    I have never had good luck with any BP substitutes even in my percussion Hawken. No matter how well I cleaned it it always hanged fired.

    I bought a hooked breech Hawken .54 flint lock from Track of the Wolf about God almost 30 years ago. Still shoot it. It's a real easy kit to put together.
