Hi ! For my Pedersoli Hawken .54 I'm using 54gr. Swiss n°3 with round balls for target shooting, which is 3 times in volume the load of S2 I'm using for my R&S revolver and 2 times the load for my Dragoon. So nothing to adjust when using my Lee Perfect powder measure. This load works fine...- cafi95

Difficult to know if it's the crown or the rifling ... I had a try with a long strip of ticking ... but unfortunately ... it didn't want to back out of the barrel ! So I had to push the ball to the bottom before to use my extractor ... The cotton strip was exactly cut as the patches were...- cafi95

Great ! So I'm gonna take some time to observe ... before to decide what to do. Right now ... nothing ! Yes that's true ! But using a thicker patch involve using a smaller ball as you say ... so I should have to get another mold ... Before to purchase a new one, I could have some trials with manufactured bullets ... then purchase the mold if that fits. Nethertheless, if it works properly like...- cafi95

Hi ! :wink: Treso Ampco nipples were "the" solution ! No problem for shipping them to France. They are just a bit to long. So I had to shorten them ... And consequently to reshape them ! Using a wireless drill as a mill ... it was an easy but long task ... They are now still slightly too... -

Hi everyone ! :v Some (good) news about my nipples changing. I succeeded in purchasing 6 Treso Ampco nipples from Jerediah for my Dragoon. I've got n°11-50-136 model designed for Walker (and Dragoon probably) revolvers. The nipples fit rightly the thread but unfortunately are a bit too... -

Many thanks really for all these informations. Yes, I know regulations could be a problem ... I hope just nipples sent overseas are not involved by them. That's a bit foolish as these guns are fully allowed in France ... but they must be purchased in Europe. Officially due to proofing... -

Yes, I understand that ”¦ but ”¦ my shootings inaccuracies are not while using round balls but heavy conicals ”¦ with my Dragoon at 50 yards. Round balls work pretty good in all of my revolvers (R&S, Dragoon and Remington NM 1858). :wink: Conicals work just as fine in my Dragoon until 25... -
