    Posted this on the Smoothbore section. Couldn’t decide where to post was better so put it here also. Made a quick run to TX to chase some Rios. Connected on two, one with the 12 bore and this one with the 20 bore. First bird with the 20. Used SkyChief loads on both birds. Great performance!

    Problems With "New" Pedersoli Shotgun

    Also, in my experience, Ballistol isn’t the best lubricant. It’s a wonder fluid and lots on this board love it. I use it and for its purpose it works. In your application, however, there’s better. Good luck.

    As to the Ped and SkyChief’s loads, I have a couple of Pedersoli doubles. The 12 and 10 have screw in chokes. The 20 bore has fixed mod/cyl. In the large bores, I have gone to cyl/cyl with SkyChief load in left bbl and conventional in the right. SkyChief’s load out performed screw-in turkey...

    Gentlemen, I have a noobie question for you. If I were interested in going up in grain size from 2F Swiss to 1-1/2 F or 1F in an attempt to improve pattern, how much should I reduce charge and maintain equal velocity? TIA for replies
