    anybody ever heard of a gun builder named Jennings. I just pirchased a 36 cal percussion muzzleloader. the barrel is stamped jennings clevland ohio. Its a halfstock with a 23” barrel. I dont have my hands on it yet but do have pics of it. Not sure how to post them here.

    thanks for the more positive opinion. you guys are sure lucky down there you can hunt with a handgun. we can't even legally take ours out in the bush. the local gun club only.would be nice to hunt with my c&p revolver.

    i got the barrel a few yrs ago with some other parts. so a friend put a breech plug in it and threaded it for a touch hole liner. one of these days i will get it built.i figure it will take a 295 or 300 patched round ball. where in in bc are you?

    i just got some from a mail order place up here for 5.79 a hundred. was able to get a 1000. worked out to 77 for the 1000 with tax and shipping. but they are low on them. they had to scrounge from another store location of theirs to get the 1000.

    i use the old toilet bowl for my cleaning. i don't bother with the bore cleaners. get a good clean pumping the water through. a simple flush and clean water.

    well i am not after a boone and crocket buck. and if i want to shoot a deer at 100 yrds plus i will use my 1905 ross rifle in 303. but if i am out late season doe hunting and see a deer at 40 or 50 yrds i might use the 32 with a maxi ball. i guess i am fortunate here where i live. 10 minute...

    i have a 50 cal cva barrel. the original bolster has been remaved and replaced with a shorter after market one.it don't go all the way through the breech plug like the original one did. has anyone on here had problems with one of these with rust building up on the exposed threads.
