Well all, unfortunately after bore sighting cracks were indeed found in the barrel as well as an old old charge still in one of the barrels. Seems I came out lucky when I tested it. Now comes the question of what to do with it. Want to check with a local shop who has a vast collection of...

Thanks! Found an antique restoration business in the town I work, he said he can help address the hammers and triggers. Will take it to him Thursday. Will be sure to post updates.

Thank you, I like the tire idea. Was trying to ponder how to go about testing it with a string for higher powder charges.

Other than the end on one barrel, they are fine. Most likely from being dropped. Will proof fire it and if It needs to be trimmed down, not the first I've done. Have shot worse off things firing much more potent shots. 7.62x54r and 3.5" 12g slugs. Doing some squirrel and grouse hunting with...

If someone really wants it, I'd sell it for 1200, otherwise I'll be getting it going and using it as it was intended.

Lock plates just say richards london on it. And that's only barley legible. No numbers under the barrel, only number found was 41 on the bridle. Hint of old scroll work, but it's all faded away pretty well.

Believe a westly Richards. Is a small wr on the underside of the barrels with what looks like some sort of crown looking mark.

Well folks, made it with all digits and eyes. Was able to get one barrel to fire with 30 grains of fff. Believe my powder was iffy (as in a flask in my truck for the better part of 2 years)

It seems like it, exterior pitting sure, but inside is clear save for a couple little goobers and some old powder residue....and the slightly missing edge

Am able to feed a wire through to the inside.

Guns store opens in a half hour, plan on taking it there and seeing if they would look it over. It's really not in all that bad of shape, could be the pictures I posted make it look worse than it is?

That looks really incredible! I tried for a good while soldering it, but believe the solder might be bad, if thats possible(fiance was having a hard time working on a stain glass project as well) I'm going to get hate for it, and might regret it later, but did a modern repair with a clear jb...

Have a nagant that was in much worse shape. Did some work to it and got it shooting inch groups at 100. On the double, the only issue with the barrel is the end and short section of rib on the underside. Top rib covers about half of both barrels. Have not seen one like that, but imagine it is...

I'll check a local gun store that says they do gun smithing. Otherwise no other gunsmiths within 2-3 hours.
