    Well, with tcmaxi balls, 80 gr shushu and wad, 25 yds excellent, 50 yards very good, 100 yards we won't talk about! I installed williams fire sights with ghost ring so i got alot more shooting to do before i get it figured out.

    Ramrod tip removal

    A little heat and it slipped right off. Chucked the rod into my 1/2" drill and filed to fit. It is now pinned. Thanks for the info folks! Appreciate it.

    I need to shorten a hickory ramrod but not sure of proper procedure to remove the brass tip. It doesn't appear to be pinned. Will a heat gun loosen things up? Tks.

    Heading out to the shop now to take 4 or 6" off a couple 28" barrels. I'm partial to short rifles also. And approaching the far end of the 60's i don't like heavy either. Think I'll order williams sights to make them more eyeball friendly.

    A few months ago i did a 7 shot each test between swiss, goex, shushu and some "non commercial " powder i have here. 25 yards, bench rest, best groups were non commercial and swiss.     Charge the cap then use the acetone glue mixture. I use an eye dropper and give them 2/3 drops each.
