    Is this the real deal?

Hah, Success, I think a certain critical mass of people contacting that seller has finally broken through. He just added to the description this is a reproduction based on the serial #. I think what really happened is it was taking too much of his email time to keep getting told the same thing...

    Is this the real deal?

Good news, I've been outbid. As of right now the bid is $1025, so hopefully the high bidder knows what he/she is bidding on. I am still curious to hear the response from GB about intentional fraud though.

    Is this the real deal?

Yes I will definitely ask questions here before bidding again.

    Is this the real deal?

If it were to be what it was advertised to be, what the seller confirmed in an email to me, I would have been interested. Yes, you read that correctly, GunBroker is currently saying even in the case of fraud, bids are binding, which is ridiculous, and I'm sure will be corrected once it reaches...

    Is this the real deal?

It clearly is not from 1860. GunBrocker just told me via email all bids are binding even in the case of fraud, so I have escalated this complaint up the flagpole. I think when the more senior muckity mucks at Gunbrocker see this response they will cancel my bid.

    Is this the real deal?

I did tell him the serial# proves this was not made in the 1860s

    Is this the real deal?

I emailed him asking if it was an original 1860 from the 1860s and he replied "correct"

    Is this the real deal?

Thank you. The seller is claiming it is an original 1860. I've asked to cancel my bid. The gun clearly is in too fine a condition to be genuine 1860s

Is this 1858 an original "real deal?"

The fact that the photos are such they do not show info is enough evidence to show a "consciousness of guilt" Seller clearly knows what he is doing.

Is this 1858 an original "real deal?"

Thank you everyone, I've learned quite a bit. Still wet behind the ears though...

Is this 1858 an original "real deal?"

I think gunbroker is basically caveat emptor

Is this 1858 an original "real deal?"

Question, if I wanted to buy and original some time in the future, what price should I expect to pay?

Is this 1858 an original "real deal?"

If I give you $1,100, will YOU throw in a holster 🤣 I'm completely kidding of course. Where did you find such a nice ones? And may I ask what would the originals sell for if I wanted to by an original, and where might there be one available?
