    about a year and a half ago I broke the jaw screw and replaced it with a janky homemade one. thanks to RMC Ox Yoke!

    I'm in the boise area, but I might be able to stop by BF sometime soon. the threads are metric M5 x 0.8 also, it's a traditions if that helps.

    a previous post of mine explains the horrendous jaw screw. i saw someone say the flint is no good. the problem was even with a long, fresh unused flint the issue happened.

    even with a flat flint the issue arises.

    yes, there's a hole in the leather. holding the flint doesn't do anything and while holding it as much as i can, the flint still does the same.

    it's been frustrating for me trying to replace the flint. when i go to tighten the jaws the pressure pushes the flint and leather out. does anyone know any ideas to fix?
