What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

I’m right next door to you in NY. 45 is the minimum in NY too. I think NY & NJ have a contest going for which state is more screwed up! I’ll be using my Woodsrunner for deer!

    New Mexico iron sights regulation.

This is a similar scenario to what has occurred with the archery seasons. Originally archery season was meant to have longbows and recurves. Then technology caught up and the compound was introduced. Now crossbows are in the mix. Technology will always be there to push the traditional aside...

    Which Caliber SMR

So I can use your opinion. I’m about to pull the trigger (pun intended) on a Kibler SMR. My primary use would be target and general range plinking along with some squirrel hunting. What caliber would you recommend? I currently own two 50 cal Hawkens, a 50 cal Woodsrunner and a 44 caliber...

    Need ideas

Dry balled once. Couldn’t pull it out. It was seated all the way down with no powder charge. Go my air compressor, removed the nipple and that ball flew out of there like it was shot!

Okay, this goes against the grain for me but....

I have what might seem to be a dumb question but here goes….. This year I will be doing some of my deer hunting from a manufactured ground blind. I’m wondering is there is a concern that my flintlock might set the blind on fire!!??

    Cataract Surgury and Shooting

Had mine done a couple of years ago. Eyes were done two weeks apart. 20/20 in both eyes. Surgery was on a Friday and I was shooting trap on the following Wednesday. I can shoot long guns with out any type of prescription glasses. I use pistol shooting readers for the handguns.

    Flints - English vrs French

Thanks for the excellent explanation. The flint I am using came installed on the lock purchased with my Woodsrunner. I’ll take your advice and get a couple of pictures for reference when I install a new flint.
