    Kibler 50 cal colonial

By the way I think the kiblers should only offer several kits to keep quality in check.

    Kibler 50 cal colonial

Yes I am glad I bought the kibler 50 cal colonial. I am fairly good with tools and it was just right for me. I did a couple of dumb things but every thing worked out. When it arrived in the mail I felt like a 10 year old at Christmas. Big made in USA sticker on it with flag 🇺🇸

    Kibler 50 cal colonial

Thanks for the information. I found the best accuracy with 0.495 round ball and 0.020 oxyoke patches. With this combination I have good accuracy with up to 70 grains of Swiss 2f at 50 yards. At 100 yards I found I need to drop charge between 55 and 60 grains to be able to have an accuracy that...

    Kibler 50 cal colonial

I have a 50 cal kibler colonial rifle that I put together from a kit. I was curious if anyone else has this rifle in the same caliber. If so can you reply back on the following questions: 1 powder manufacturer 2 optimum charge for 100 yards 3 ball size 4 patch type 5 patch thickness Thanks

    Jim Kibler Rifle, RANGE REPORT

I tried 0.020 patches made by oxyoke. These have a much tighter weave than the other 0.020 patches I was using. These new patches with the .495 RB improved 100 yard accuracy. I also find patches in good shape.

    Jim Kibler Rifle, RANGE REPORT

Started using an 0.020 patch from a different manufacturer. Weave and fit is noticeably tighter with 495 RB. Problems went away. Patches look like they can be reused and a 100 yard accuracy is much better. With any other patch; Rare to find patches after shot and when I do they are a carbon...

    Jim Kibler Rifle, RANGE REPORT

One thing I notice is that I can rarely find the patches. Doesn't matter what size ball and patch combination I have also tried pillow ticking with ballistol. With the pillow ticking I would find a very thin ring. Center of patch completely blown out. I estimate 200 rounds fired in this barrel.

    Jim Kibler Rifle, RANGE REPORT

Last August I bought the kibler 50 cal colonial rifle kit. Nice rifle. I am new to flintlocks. With 70 grains 2f, 495 ball, and 020 patch I can hit consistently within a 4" black circle on the target at 50 yards. I sighted this rifle in at 50 yards. My rear sight is visibly set just left of...
