This one is .50 as well and a very good shooter. I’d say go for it. It’s made a great foundation to build from and modify. Ive learned a lot! May be one day I’ll scratch build one. Definitely feel more comfortable in my skills now.- Compressorguy

Thank You, Yes the barrel is now pinned. I did away with the nose cap with the barrel retaining screw and installed barrel tennons and a proper nose cap.- Compressorguy

Built this Pedersoli Kentucky flintlock pistol about 2 years ago and decided to rebuild it. Greatly thinned the belly and stock. A Whimsical Primer Horn
Picked up this unique shaped horn from the pet store several weeks ago and put it away for later. It makes smoke! Got a chance to test it today at my son in laws. First shot was 1/2 charge 15gr 3F and a fiber wad. Second was 30gr and fiber wad, third was 30gr and .600 ball with .010 patch. What cani use
Hand drill and small drill bits can get you close to those tight inside radius also. Then just saw to the holes.- Compressorguy

Leather Canteen
That turned out very, very nice! Great job! I made one very similar but way smaller to hold shot. Used my air compressor to puff it up and dry out the completely wetted leather. Worked great!- Compressorguy

What cani use
All you may need is a hack saw, vise and some files depending on the complexity. I cut this one by hand from 1/8” brass stock. The original was missing from the kit and they didn’t have any replacements. Just make your trace and glue it to the bar stock and plan your cuts for the longest...- Compressorguy

SUCCESS! Skirting a file across the face it still seemed a little soft, so I heated the frizzen face up again until bright cherry red this time then water quenched.
