bending brass for patch box cover?

In order to reasonably flow with the buttplate, at least a slight bend is typically required.

bending brass for patch box cover?

I strongly disagree with this statement.

    Kibler Fowler

Oh, we’ll figure out a way to make them fast enough!

    Red Mapel

I would bet that 80 percent of all Longrifles past and present are stocked in red maple. Look at Dunlap…. The biggest muzzling stock wood supplier rarely had sugar maple. So many experts…

    Kibler Fowler Update

    Yes, a good description!

    Kibler Fowler Update

That was on the big early (1700) waterfowling gun. Our kit will not have one.

    Kibler lock In Chambers fowler?

Our lock won’t fit easily as it is smaller in some areas, particularly in front of the pan. With some work, a Chambers lock should serve you well. When using them for the custom guns I made, I would typically spend the better part of a day working them over. After this, they generally...

    Kibler Colonial Trigger Guard Wrong?

Sorry, but I don't think your buddy is really "in the know". As others have said, it fits well into the time period of the rifle kit.

    Kibler side effect?

Yes, of course… You can customize our kits a great deal. I was only referring to the fact that we do not offer this service.

    Tang bolt drill jig

Interestingly enough, I used to use these when building custom rifles, but at some point, I just started to drill from both sides and meet in the middle. A spotter helps with alignment, but isn't necessary. Start slightly smaller than your finished hole. Works well

    Kibler side effect?

I'll put out a video of our newest machine soon. Bars feed in one end and finished parts flow out of a conveyor on the other end.

    Kibler side effect?

It's easy to poo poo something like CNC, but our standard of living would be very different without it. For better or for worse... One thing for sure, once you get the taste, there's no moving back.

    Woods-runner lock alignment

    No worries. All is good😀

    Kibler side effect?

You think CNC programs and processes magically appear? Let me tell you from experience that developing these processes is FAR more difficult than building any equivalent gun by hand. Like it or not it’s part of our everyday society and by being a consumer you are supporting it.

    Kibler side effect?

Okay then, let’s go to 40 years ago or even 30 years ago. Pretty certain for big auto production this was in place by then. Still waiting to hear what vehicle the cnc hater drives.

    Woods-runner lock alignment

A slight bend in the **** to help align with the frizzen can be a good thing, but this is way too far.

    Woods-runner lock alignment

This doesn't look right. Bree will get with you to have it returned so we can fix it. Sorry for the trouble. Jim

I guess you're not driving a vehicle made in the last 50 years then? I would think you're a man of principle;)

    Kibler side effect?

Why other companies make left-handed kits? their development costs are considerably less than ours given our manufacturing methods. Also, we are very careful and a profit driven company ( i.e. a successful and sustainable company).
