    Now I will clean it.

Got 5 more squirrels done with my little .45 smoothrifle. It's not been cleaned all summer. Just used with plenty of my lube. Zero rust. Now I'll give it a clean. It's my notion that the nomads and mountain men didn't fuss like most do today about cleaning their firearms. Anyway, had a blast...

    Artax firearms, anybody?

Had the shotgun in flint for a few years. It was very reliable and very light.

    32 accuracy at 50yds,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

When the OP says the patches are good has he held them up to the light?

    That's a brown hare!

Not really, she just stayed clipped to me. At 12 she still gets over excited sometimes.

    That's a brown hare!

Very common yes. Counted 15 on one field the other night in the thermal spotter.

    Vintage 'Mold-Tie" wads

There is no such thing as cushion wads! How strong is your rammer! Tight wads can break the rammer. I don't recommend any difficult to load wadding.

    Super imposed Austrian rifle.

Top barrel spiral rifled, bottom, straight rifled. Enjoy.

For those other Europeans - and anybody else -firearms licensing in UK - LONG READ

Why the storage? Just ask for a temporary permit of which one is entitled. It's not the applicants fault the renewal is late if sent in in good time. I kept my firearms at home after expiry and demanded a temporary licence. Once I got the temporary and once my renewal suddenly turned up after...

    Exploding CVA barrel

Nope, the context was a .45 rifle. You suggested a double max charge but now you suggest just a 10% increase. I suggest based on your comments that you are not qualified to guide anyone in the proofing of their firearm. Good day.

    Exploding CVA barrel

Why do you contradict yourself? https://www.muzzleloadingforum.com/threads/45-cal-proof-load.163160/page-2

    Exploding CVA barrel

Really? I think you will find a proof load is about double the standard charge. Saying a 45 with a service charge of 60gn is proofed with just 66gn is crazy!

    Exploding CVA barrel

Next time you want to know if there is a blockage first use the rammer to measure depth. Then put a patch on a rod or rammer. Then pop a cap. Then remove patch and observe scorching and or smell burning. Oh, and read and understand loading practices and charge weights or measures around the use...

    The powder ran out first...

Berretta Tricentennial. They weren't even made by Berretta. I personally don't like Berretta products except this one, probably because it's not a Berretta lol.
