WANTED North Star N.W.gun barrel
Anybody got a North Star N.W . trade gun barrel for sale ? 20 ga. Preferred but all are interesting ... 36" or 42" preferred . All other parts of N.Star N.W. trade guns I'm certainly interested in too ! A whole gun or an unbuilt kit would be nice too ! :) One can dream !! Thanks :)- Rob M.

Breech plug removal question.
Yeah ... Dont remove it bud .It ain't worth the trouble . Modern breech plugs are SO f&%#ing tight ! Funny ... Making a flintlock waterproof …
Dont get me wrong ...I've been caught in the rain before , of course ...and I just stick the lock under my arm pit to keep it dry . It'd kinda nice cause you can stalk without making any noise but ...its is raining when I'm getting gettin ready ....nope stayin in the cabin :)- Rob M.

How Does a Touch Hole Liner Improve Reliability?
As stated before ....the liner is a large cone on the inside so the main charge , the powder at the breech, is much closer to the pan ... Got the barrel browned to my liking now ....to get those chemicals to stop rusting ! Sometimes it can be a bear ... Baking soda for few hours now soak in oil ...gettin there .... Put the tapered ramrod in " the dip " to soak .... Gettin there ....- Rob M.

Workin on the Carolina Gun .... Started the browning process on the barrel , wire wheel it all down then start heatin it up and applying plum brown ... Made the tapered hickory ramrod , put brass tip on , pinned , then fit the R.R. to the gun , cut to length etc. Browned the barrel a few times...- Rob M.
