Building yet another NW gun
No clue bud ... His decision on barrel length . Keep in mind I messed up and said 58" barrel it was a 48" , which is still a pain puttin it in the truck ! LOL ...- Rob M.

OK, so it may not be HC correct.......
Yeah , go for it ...build what you want . Plus ...there were a LOT of what's called " restock builds " . Sometimes it was a complete gun restocked in American wood , obviously the stock got busted up , other times , a mixture of Parts gathered and made into a gun .... UGH !!! Heat bluing screws , fitting trigger guard and tang screw , file front sight blade , fitting lock screws , fitting fitting fitting ....cussing cussing cussing ... tryin not to gouge the wood with the screw driver !! Comin together but oh so slow ... Hopefully get some good pics of her...- Rob M.

Oops ! Sorry , didnt mention that ....Yer good !! Yep ...I use 50/50 solder and paste flux . I used it for many years when making colonial tin lanterns and really like its properties . Its getting more difficult to find so I bought a few rolls , should be enough for rest of my life .- Rob M.

I put the Oct. section in the vice and the front section supported ... I collect these pieces of brass from castings I get ...you can use any decent piece of brass though ... I hold the piece of brass against the grinder wheel to get a base , square , started ...then I use needle nose to.hold...- Rob M.

Just working on the Carolina Gun ....wow , its dragging on ! I need a break after this one ....Ugh !! Antique the stock , steel woolin the stock , then wax the stock , stamped the barrel with LONDON and proof mark , soldered on front blade , made pins for the R.R. pipes and put them on , drill...- Rob M.

How do you prime?
It was darn nice of him , just out of the blue ! . Beautiful little primer . I use it around the shop as I prime from my main horn in the field . It'll be handy at a range .- Rob M.

FINALLY !! Got stock stained then coats of finish on too ...engraved sideplate too .... Tomorrow or next day , hopefully tomorrow ....put it all together and get some good pics of it ...then ....tear it all back down and start browning the barrel ...got put front blade , and rings , stamps on...- Rob M.
