Finished cleaning up the side plate size , finished , well mostly ,inlet the side plate , side plate screws fit to lock , trimmed .....fit , tweeked, drilled the trigger guard for long tang screw, trimmed curled the trigger , fit the T.G. , drilled the weird T.G. screw hole , marked tang ...- Rob M.

Ain't that somethin ?! A complete surprise to me too ! A neat thing ...ive always noticed marks on the back side of my repros ... Kinda looked like Roman numerals but I never thought much about it ...on the original there are Roman numerals too ! Not the same number , obviously , but it was to...- Rob M.

Thanks bud ... The first few trade guns I had problems with the nails backing out so ... I found these round nails with things like rings down the length of em ... I get them now and grind the round heads square ... They dont back out , knock on wood , thank goodness ...- Rob M.

Not much ....yet again . Too much runnn and such ....but ... I cut , filed and ground the buttplate to final shape , slabbed off the wood of the stock along the barrel , side plate side , and carefully at the side plate , thickness of bolster on lock ... Not a bunch today ...other things to do ...but I cut the buttstock to length , Length of pull , and shape of the Carolina gun buttstock end ... and rough cut out the buttplate out of sheet brass . I'll grind the buttplate to final shape and attach it to the buttstock tomorrow hopefully ... Got...- Rob M.

Not much , had runnin ta do and company . They brought homemade pizza ,!! Make a trigger. .. pin it in stock ... Fit to lock ...measure length of pull , mark it ...cut stock tomorrow then start making buttplate ...- Rob M.

Just workin on d@mn ole trade gun!! :) got the lock in and working ... Ifn I get my wood stove pipe all fixed up and workin , it was 50 degrees in the house this AM ! Even this fat guy was chilled !! ..... then , if I get back on gun , I'll forge out a trigger and maybe get it pinned in ...if...- Rob M.

Kibler Fowler vs Trade Gun
Lots of good points " pointed out " here ! The one that really gets me though ... That often seen oversized forestock ! GEESH !! That web between the barrel and the ramrod hole in the forearm . On kits and on folks guns they've built ... Sometimes those forearms look THICK ! Its just horrible ...- Rob M.
