    Makes sense to me. A RB has a very limited amount of contact with the rifling. Snugger fit , more likely to have reduced slip = better accuracy.

    Lead hardness can vary some. Also the brand of hardness tester can vary a bit also. My tester is an LBT brand. Yes they will ( RB ) cast slightly larger but not enough that I have seen to make a big difference. The big difference I see is with accuracy. In particular, 100 yd accuracy.

    I agree. See 75 yds as a minimum for big game. Should be more like 100yds. If I am going to buy a big game ML it needs to be accurate to 100yds. IMHO.

    Would you consider the rifling to be a deep grove. I can't tell for sure from the picture. My preference is to shot RB only.

    Seems like a deep grove is a for sure "want" with the round ball. Since the RB has considerably less contact with the lands & groves than a conical. it makes sense to me, to have deeper grove rifling.
