    Home Depot patch lube

FYI, after 12 hours hanging the material feels waxy, not moist. Much like wax paper. The wax appears to be evenly distributed. I suspect that this is because the solution has a high viscosity and is retained by the weave of the substrate. IronHand

    Home Depot patch lube

I was in the local HD looking for a wood finish and ran across this stuff. It is just Beeswax and mineral oil. I thought it might make a good patch lube, so I put it on some patches and hung them up to dry. After about one hour they have a slick feeling to them (like Wonder Wads). I am going...

    Rifled trade gun?

I'm thinking of having a flintlock rifle built. My favorite gun is my Jackie Brown trade gun. My question is, were rifled trade guns a thing and/or is there a style of rifle that closely resembles a trade gun? Thanks Ironhand

    Touch Hole Picks!

Go to the hardware store and get a set of gas welding torch cleaners. You get multiple sizes, they are ribbed to clean better and they have a ring for attaching a handle. Cheap and easy Ironhand

Bark River Knives - Patch Knife

I have a matched set of 3 Bark River knives. Great knives. Keep it. A few years ago I spent some time talking to the owner (former production manager for Marbles). Extremely knowledgeable about knives and knife making. Highly recommended. Ironhand

    Pop can mortar help.

I have not shot it yet. On the internet there is a lot of variation in powder charge used. Perhaps because of variations in the size of the sub chamber. Thanks for the info IronHand
