    Need suggestions for a gunsmith

45D/Mike/Goons Gun Works (all the same guy) “A rose by any other name……” I have three done by him now. He’ll fix you up and you won’t believe it’s the same gun. The price is less than a day at the ballpark with the family and you’ll have your gun running perfectly forever.

    NWTG in the Colonies?

I think your Kibler Fowler type was more likely around in the Colonies than my NWTG. I’d say a fair amount of Fowlers were used early in the war until standardized military muskets eventually replaced them. Someone a lot more knowledgeable than I will be along shortly to shed more light.

    NWTG in the Colonies?

Hello. Were there NWTG’s in the colonies around the time of the AWI? I love my newly acquired NWTG and would like to think some were carried in that time and place. Thanks.

Friend and I took our first trip to Tandy Learher. Came home with stuff to begin messing around. Here’s my first piece for a knife I bought here a week ago. Be gentle! I know I have a LONG way to go but this was just to try making something. I need lots of help learning.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

I burned some black through my Kibler .45 SMR today despite upper 80’s temps. Under the roof it was tolerable. Happy 4th everyone.

    Ron Paull Muzzleloader

If I am not mistaken, the owner of the rifle could be Ron Elerick with a “k” at the end of his last name. If that’s the case, he was a missionary in Alaska and other places as well. Known as the “Kilted Preacher”, he rode a Harley and was also a former Alaska State Trooper. You can Google and...

    Long time lurker from NJ…..

Welcome from Morris County, North of all of you “Southerners”. Long Beach Island is one of my happy places. Do get to the Kempton Fair in a few weeks and for heavens sake, make a trip to Dixon’s ML shop. It’s another of my happy places.
