Excellent build. Gene is a cool dude and old school smith. Great video on your part! I only have one criticism if I may: How the $&@? do you not know the Doobie Brothers?! 🤣

SOLD Parker Hale 2 band Enfield

Parker Hale 2 band Enfield SN: 2378 so early production. 100% made in England. Nice shape, couple dings in wood and a ring of shallow pitting where tompion was left in place. This is very shallow and I’ve done my best to highlight it in pics. She’s a shooter. Nipple guard and sling included. I...

My new Rev War militia musket (pics)

OP, I see exactly what you’re seeing. Personal owned gun, war is brewing, requests to outfit militia. Man takes said piece to local blacksmith and asks to make it more capable for fighting. Well done. It’s what it needs to be and nothing more. It tells a story.

How long does 1’000 caps last for an average shooter

I am shooting about 50 caps per outing. I do this intentionally to stretch what I have even though I am blessed with a comfortable amount. I have flints and Muskets to shoot as well.

Pioneer Flats FREE Shootout Fun Highlights:

Mark, the work you and others do to introduce folks to the sport is truly admirable. You’re a better man than I am. Another great video.

An introduction to Flintlock guns, advice needed.

I had that exact gun in .38 smoothbore. Sold it here. Great gun! Enjoy it!

    Trying too hard?

Not much more fun than stretching a revolver out a bit. Add reactive targets and a reactive background (dirt splatter for misses) and it’s more fun than anything else for me.

    Historical Coach Gun Loads

While I won’t be cutting down my Pedersoli Classic 12 gauge (she’s a lovely, old, wispy thing, and light as a feather) I will some day own a 10 gauge and carefully cut the barrels down for a percussion street sweeper. I’ll wait for a beat up copy.

    FOR SALE Kentucky pistol

I think something is assembled incorrectly too. I am not an expert but between nipple not screwed in and something incorrectly installed inside this might be all that is wrong.

Raw wool instead of flax tow

Assuming that can be reused if found out front. On a range.
