    'Bone Hardening' your ramrod

It is amazing what I learn here from you all. So I was piddling in my gun shed today and this thread came to mind. I went and grabbed a set of antlers from the bone bucket and sawed one off and went to town on a T/C Renegade ram rod. Now I had already sanded this thing to 500 but the burnishing...

Tried out my Callahan bag mold

I thought the same thing. Trust me, place the order, then call the man.

Tried out my Callahan bag mold

Yeah when you put the order in online, you then have to call and talk to him directly. He does things the old way.

    Another shipping war story….

Sorry for your trouble. USPS is just horrible. I know what time my mail truck runs and when there is an important package, I wait at the end of my long driveway. Otherwise they will do the same crap they did to you and put that stupid "sorry we are so lazy, we don't want to drive up your long...

Anyone get a Pietta G&G Clone from this most recent batch?

Much better. Sanded to 500, Minwax Antique oil finish then Renaissance wax. I sanded the grip to the contours of the machining cuts. I liked the way they feel with all the contours in them so they stayed.

Powder Inc. doing a little price gouging?

None of my local shops carry muzzle loading supplies either. I used to be able to drive 40 minutes to Sportsman's warehouse or Cabela's and get whatever I needed. Now its paying hazmat shipping charges is my only option.

Powder Inc. doing a little price gouging?

Ok, well I got a little clarity. All of their prices includes a hazmat fee of 50 dollars. If I wanted powder and caps then only one hazmat fee applies and the price for the caps is adjusted. I think I'll just stick to Grafs. I was looking at the cylinder presses. What was wrong with yours?

Powder Inc. doing a little price gouging?

True, I wouldn't doubt what you all say to be true. I have one. And as soon as someone makes a flint lock cap and ball revolver, I'll get one of those too. :D But for now if I wanna shoot my beloved revolvers I'm at the mercy of the cap market. I have a decent supply, but I don't like having to...

What else would you call it?

Powder Inc. doing a little price gouging?

I was cruising the interwebs this a.m. over coffee checking on the percussion cap situation and cruising for free Haz mat. In doing so, I noticed Powder Inc is almost 20 bucks higher per tin of 250 RWS caps. That's a little ridiculous. Everyone else is selling for about 36 -38 dollars per tin...

SOLD CVA Kentucky pistol kit, percussion, 45 caliber

Here's a Bump for ya!! That grip profile is so much better than the current Traditions offering. I have to strip mine down and reprofile the bottom plow looking handle.

What kind of Lock is this.

Never seen anything like this. Anyone know what it is?

LOOKA HERE what I fell in to.

I got the readers AND the magnifying glass out and found the Uberti stamp. It took some doing to get this smart (dumb) phone to take a clear zoomed pic of the stamp.

LOOKA HERE what I fell in to.

Yep, that is it in a nut shell for me. I have other shooters. I was just happy to find this gem.

LOOKA HERE what I fell in to.

I think that is a Uberti stamp on the side of the frame. Not 100% sure though.

LOOKA HERE what I fell in to.

Sometimes ya just get lucky. Replica Arms 1861 Navy. Dated to 1970. I gotta make up my mind whether or not I want to keep it. What do you guys think is the value of this revolver?
