SOLD - Pending funds Navy Arms Griswold & Gunnison .36 cal (1965) REDUCED $250 SHIPPED!

It has a really nice bore. Shallow grooves like most of them. In the pic what looks to be a crack or something in the bore is the crack that is in the glass over the camera lens on my phone.

I know, but this one has no markings other than the ones pictured.

I'm not sure. There is no makers mark (stamp) on the revolver.

    1851 navy hunting

I don't see why a 44 call '51 Navy cylinder would have any less Volume than a 44 cal 1860 or 1858. I could be wrong tho. But I don't think you should have any trouble getting 30 grains 3F under a Conical. I can get 30 grains under a 240 grain Conical in my Uberit NMA.

What kind of Lock is this.

You're right, which I did, but I still want to complain that I have to pay it. :D I'm gonna b@#$% and moan and groan but I'll still take it up the tail pipe and pay the crooks.

What kind of Lock is this.

The Auction house I got this is ABSURD with their shipping. 80 bucks to ship this rifle, 50 for handguns and 100 for Muskets. I think its robbery. This on top of the buyers premium just drives what you thought was a good deal through the roof. Anyway, just had to vent.

    1851 navy hunting

Round here, Whitetails are not that big and they ARE classified as light, thin skinned medium game. They are not that hard to kill if you do your part. I've been taking them for table fare all of my life. For some reason people think you need a dang howitzer to take down a little ole white...

What kind of Lock is this.

Absolutely, when I get it in here. I'll photo and document everything so we can see how this thing ticks. You're right it is cool and someone spent a lot of time on it. I would like to know who that someone is. We may never know.

What kind of Lock is this.

WELL!! I threw a bid in on it and I was the only one to do so, SO its mine I reckon.. I still don't know WTH it is . It has a T/C Hawken barrel. I've never seen a wooden trigger guard. And I don't think that is the factory breech plug. Neat looking rifle I guess.

    Cap jam

Proper nipples, caps and know how prevents a lot of cap jams. I don't have issues with mine.

    'Bone Hardening' your ramrod

:D:p I don't think our meaning of "piddling" are the same.

    'Bone Hardening' your ramrod

You just take bone like an Antler or something and press down and rub back and forth on the wood. You can use anything hard really.
