    Bear Grease Question

    I bought a quart of rendered bear oil years ago at a rondy. I mixed it with bee’s wax for my patch lube. I am almost out of the bear oil and when I am done with it, I will be using olive oil in its place. I really don’t think that I will see a difference from the bear oil. Time will tell.

    Early PA season begins today

    Yea, it is really tough hunting in the PA flintlock deer season after Christmas. The deer are crazy spooked by then and the weather can be a real challenge. I don’t hunt anymore but I always harvested my deer on the earlier deer seasons with my flintlock.
