    Sight movement

I attached a couple of photos to help clear it up. The rear aperture, blade, whatever you want to call it moves left to right. You can see in the two photos that there is a half a click of free movement between the two. I initially said a whole click but it’s more of a half.

Threads definitely aren’t stripped. The windage adjustment has a very distinct click every time you turn the windage asjustment screw. The blade itself moves.

The rear sight blade is moving within the rear sight assembly

Rear sight blade. Sorry, that information would have been helpful

    Sight movement

OK I have a rookie question. I shot my TC hawken and thought I had it dialed in pretty good. I had really nice groups at 50 yards, which is my general hunting distance. After I got home and was cleaning my rifle I discovered my sight blade would move side to side. It would move enough that it...

    couple of questions

I have a piece of leather tied to my trigger guard as others have mentioned. It’s a longer piece that will fall away when I **** the hammer.

Asking for help with a Rifle Shoppe Baker Rifle: groups at 50 yards have become dreadful.

I hand load for almost all of my unmentionables except for one. Ironically the one I don’t load for is the most accurate of them all. It has a factory installed device to counter harmonics. I wasn’t sure how much harmonics came into play with a ML rifle.

Asking for help with a Rifle Shoppe Baker Rifle: groups at 50 yards have become dreadful.

I’m not as well versed in ML shooting as some of you guys so I need to know. You said your barrel was resting on the bench rest. When shooting unmentionable rifles I never rest my barrel on anything because the harmonics will throw your shot off me cause larger groups. Is the same thing...

    New TC Hawken sights

Thanks. I may give it a try. I put a peep on one of my unmentionable revolvers and it made a world of difference for my older eyes.

    New TC Hawken sights

just ran across this and looked them up. I’m interested. How do they mount? Do you replace the rear sight?

    Opening Morning

Great story. Thanks for taking us along. Nice buck. I’m hunting with my hawken this season for the second year. I’ve taken a few with the unmentionable black powder rifles but none with the hawken. These deer stories get me excited.
