    Burned!

This tells me two things... 1st,,, he is a "MLF Supporter" which I suspected after reading some of the comments that seemed surprised he has not been dealt with by moderators or admin, with a side comment or two about good people who have been banned. Good luck getting him censured, suspended...

    Non-shooting camp games ideas?

Frying pan toss for distance. Watermelon seed spitting contest. Have a few period tables (or large stumps) set up with board games like checkers, chess, and backgammon. Maybe under a large "dining fly) Maybe under the same fly offer several of those blacksmiths puzzles. Hoop race. Sack race. 3...

    TRIED TOWNSENDS ONION PYE

Yup. I was introduced to them while vacationing on Cape Cod many years ago,,, it quickly became my favorite summertime cocktail. Make them by the pitcherfull. I'll probably visit the place I 1st had one after I visit the whaling museum this year. Then again, if the museum looks crowded maybe...

    India Barrel Failure

Are you suggesting people look at this subject with some perspective? Maybe you've been working too hard Mr. Person..... 😆 Seriously, you are spot on. I see this same lack of perspective amd objectivity in many of the, "the sky is falling," panic button, so called "safety concern"...

    Game Bag

No where near as nice as the hand knotted bags, but, I made one out of some bulk fishing net I found at an army/navy store... Unfortunately this is the only pic I can find if it at the moment. I believe the bulk net is sold for decoration and making ghillie suits. I simply cut out a large...

    Cobb Creek closing

Wow, one of my favorite business and favorite people to deal with in this endeavor, this is going to be a rough loss to make up for. I do wish Kathy all the best though, she's a wonderful person.

    India Barrel Failure

This gentleman, ,,,,, is spot on. Has nothing to do with metal, scrap or otherwise. If this were a legit test, why did it blow where pressure is lowest. If the proof load (which also sounds suspect) blew the barrel due to faulty steel, construction, or design, it would have blown at the breach...

Thanks. Yes I saw the 28 gauge, I was still expecting a larger charge.

Question regarding the use of tow in a smoothbore

It is all well and good to say a certain load or loading method, "works for me," or, "shoots good/good enough," or, "as good as other methods I've tried," etc. If no indication if what that standard of good is, it really isn't that helpful. One person's, "good enough," might not be even barely...

Question regarding the use of tow in a smoothbore

Okay, that's less powder than I expected. Most people advocating ball directly on powder are shooting a lot more than that. What is "as good at 50 yards...."? When you say "woods situation," are you talking hunting or woodswalks? There is a big difference between consistently hitting 8 to 10...
