    There was one time I shot one on a friends property. I went with their system. Didn’t drag it at all picked up with four wheeler, and we skinned it before gutting. It was actually pritty slick. And very clean. 99% of the time I do not have the luxury of no drag and they get gutted...

    I built a SMR in cherry. I didn’t stain the wood just letting it get darker naturally. Finished with several coats of waterlox and hung on the clothes line between coats.

    Thanks for all the responses. I’m thinking this winter after the Pa flintlock season is over I will get it worked on. Brad Emig built the gun so I will probably take it back to him to replace the liner.

    I have shot it several times. I live a few miles away from where it’s produced and have seen where it’s made. If it’s not real black powder than I don’t know what is.
