My Aunt called all cigarettes coffin nails,or a ***, when *** started to have different meaning, she'd say (I'm going outside to suck a ***) lol I was to small then to get her joke and wondered why everyone chuckled 😂

    uberti revolver help

From my limited experience, the smaller replica pocket models are just more finicky then the larger revolvers, and take more polishing to get working correctly.

    TC Hawken Rifle barrel/caliber swaps

I have a Green mountain .40 cal for my TC Hawken it was tight where it hooks into tang 1st time or two I put it on but no fitting was necessary. I have no idea what it would cost, but others could probably answer. Would it be cheaper to find a barrel that has bad bore and get it sleeved...

Why are Uberti pistol boxes so flimsy?

I keep most boxes but not all,I still have box my first gun (Browning .22) came in that dad gave me in 1972. I like to get the box when I buy,but sure won't pay extra for it. In previous marriage I didn't keep any new boxes,it was hard enough keeping guns hid 😁

    Gun Lost :’(

Little trick that has worked very well for me when ordering from Midway USA is to add a box of ammo, every order I've placed with ammo in it is usually next day,2nd day at most.if no ammo ordered 3-5 days for delivery.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

I use patchbox,I keep jag, patchpuller, ballpuller and enough cleaning patches in patchbox to keep stuff from rattling. If it's a large patchbox,I also keep 2 or 3 balls and shooting patches in patchbox when hunting that let's me reload quicker since I don't have to get anything out of bag.

    My balls are wrinkly ;)

Get lead hotter and probably cast faster to get mold hotter, my first 3 or 4 are usually wrinkled then mold warms up, I often have a hotplate with molds on it to keep molds hot when I'm casting different sized balls and or bullets. If just a a few small wrinkles I'll use for...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

@aussie pete I think I'd take a bit of pleasure sawing those horns off,few years ago when she was first calf heifer, she had calf under cedar tree at bottom of ditch,I walked down to check on and work calf and that little heifer looked like she was 10 foot tall coming down that ditch bank horns...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

I found my future powder horn,I think the old girl wants to keep it for a few more years.🌝 Not sure I'll let her keep my powder horn much longer, when I work calves next spring I might just have to get her in headgate so we can discuss her horns☺️

    Don't Carve That Stock!

My Harley riding buddy says Chrome don't get you home but sure looks good sitting by the road. I personally don't care for carving on a gun, I can appreciate the skill and time it takes, but it just isn't my cup of tea. I do like a simple line or two carved,on buttstock, and or...

Ease and accuracy of shooting. 1851 Navy vs 1858 Remington. Thoughts?

I'm more of a Remington fan myself, like OP my 1861 and 1851 Colt Navys just point better and for quick shooting I do better with them then the Remingtons, but if taking my time I shoot the Remingtons better. I always figured it was better sights on Remingtons. I even prefer the looks of...

Duck Hunting with an Original Fowler

A little off topic, but still consistent with OP . How does bismuth act with jug choke ? I've never shot Bismuth,I bought some week or two ago thinking I just might try to shoot a duck or goose this year. I don't even have a jug choke, but seriously considering having it done...
