What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

That's a nice looking shotgun. Are the barrels a matt finish? I like it for a hunting gun

    Tamales in the Southwest

Glad to see you make tamales. My son and I make them every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas. After you do it a couple of times you’ll get the hang of it. It’s a process, but do it with family or some friends. Then it’s called a tamalada - tamale making party.

    Do you gut your deer?

I gut my deer where it falls. Then get it home and cool as quickly as possible. Hunting my own land, I’ll wait till it’s cold before killing a deer for meat. That way I can hang it for a couple of days. I will not take a deer to the processor. I’m not sure anyone gets back the deer they drop...

    Bag dump time.

Finally gathered some pics of my bags. In recent years I’ve made a bag for each gun I hunt with regularly. That way I grab my gun and it’s bag and I know I have everything I need for a day afield. This bag is for my .62 Yeager This bag is for my .40 caliber This bag is for my SxS shotgun

    How many years Muzzleloading experience?

I entered 35 years as my answer. I actually assembled a Dixie Tennessee Mountain Rifle 44 years ago. I had no clue what I was doing and no one to ask. I'd shoot it - then clean, clean, clean -check the next day and find rust.... So when I finally got it to stop rusting I hung it on the wall...

I love their videos. “Five dolla dog!” They were ahead of their time. If you go to Mossy Oak’s website you can stream all their full videos for free.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Received the Pedersoli SxS 10 gauge in the mail today. She's a beauty. I think I'll nickname her "WW" for waterfowl widow maker. I hope some of y'all have seen the old "T.K and Mike" videos from the old days... Now I have to go burn some powder and learn to shoot it.

    Advantages/Disadvantages of 3f with Shot???

The 20 SxS I picked up this year is a sweet little gun. Just thought I'd let you know - I mean - you know.... Your wife will understand won't she?

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Lol - she gets a light breakfast before the hunt. When we get home she usually gets two scrambled eggs with crumbled bacon and cheese....

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Spent the last weekend of duck season with my little buddy Rio. She’s a tough little soldier. I managed to hunt all season with my muzzleloaders. I will start next season with a Pedersoli 10 gauge I made a deal for here.

    WITHDRAWN Lookin for a knife

@Runewolf1973 makes a fantastic knife. I have one and it is a dandy. It's so sharp I don't know how it stayed in the box all the way from Canada to Texas.
