TVM Early Virginia on its way

I do like the contrast of the darker wood against the steel. Let us know how it shoots! Also, let us know how you fare with your front sight issue.

    Just another horn

I like those small lobed horns! That being said I too am curious how it hangs, another thing, I like the staple, but I never hang mine from it. I wrap the strap around the spout and through the staple, I do beleive that was the purpose of the staples of the originals. Overall good looking horn.

    Cva hawken question

I got a deal on this one, but it needs some love. Barrel has some rust inside the bore and it needs refinished. The bore isn’t bad enough to warrant a new one, I can polish it up. I took off the front and rear sight and will replace them with more traditional ones. I’ve already made the front...

    Cva hawken question

Thanks for that, I’m not up to par on my CVA knowledge.

    Cva hawken question

One last question for the CVA guys, so I measured my barrel across the flats with a digital micrometer, it measured 1.08. However, it’s a 50 caliber and I always thought that the only barrels from CVA that measured that size were 54 calibers and that 50 calibers were 15/16? It’s a Hawken style...

    Jackie Brown "Carolina Smoothbore"

Mines pretty fast as well, never tried it upside down though. I totally reworked mine and still may have Rob M work on it as well, it’s all cosmetics. The function is spot on.

    Cva hawken question

I wonder why one has to click on my photos? That has to be a setting somewhere? I ordered the correct tang from deer creek, thanks all for the input.
