    Wooden Powder Flasks?

I have an oddball… I was told it’s a wooden powder horn, but honestly the jury is still out on that. Whatever it may be, tons of work must have went into it!

    Powder horn needs repair

Man that’s a tough one, if you have any horn shavings you might mix that up with epoxy and try and fill the holes, if the holes are large enough you can cut pieces out of another horn and file them to fit your holes and epoxy those in. I know this has sentimental value to you, but it’s going to...

    Flinching?

That’s what I’d do, it’s the part I I enjoy the most anyhow, shooting off a sturdy rest and working up a load will allow you to get to know your rifle very well. Shooting offhand will become second nature after a while. Good luck and enjoy the process! Let us know how you progress. Take care.

    Flinching?

Yes, this is spot on right here… ^^^ Once you zero your rifle from a steady rest, then you can work on your offhand shooting, otherwise your simply chasing your tail.

Ram rod wont go all the in....im stumped!

Can you shine a bore light in the ramrod entry area to see if there’s an obstruction? I wonder if it wasn’t drilled all the way and bottoming out? I know a fella who’s woodsrunner was like that, took him a couple seconds of drilling and it was fixed. You could also call Jim Kibler and ask him...

Surefire way to drill a horn spout?

The horn shown was drilled through the side by me, then I repaired it using another piece of horn… I hate throwing away a good horn, especially when you’ve got time and money in it.

Surefire way to drill a horn spout?

One the very first steps I do, is grab a metal coat hanger, or a stiff bendable piece of wire and bend to shape the horn. Now, take that same piece of wire and push it down from the base plug end to the spout end, that will give you the approximate length of the cavity of the horn. By knowing...

    SOLD Horn blanks… SPF..

Hi all, I’ve got some horn blanks, that I’ll most likely never get to, all are drilled for the spout plug. Some of these I got in trade and were drilled by me but some were drilled when I got them but they all seem straight. These vary in size and stages of work, I’ve started on one and was...
