That was hard to walk way form!!

I would have been there but I was out hunting during the Muzzloading season. I normally attend that very gun show every month, except during the rut, gun season and muzzleoading season. Those seasons ALWAYS fall on the gun show weekends.

Is That Seasoning or Fouling On My Patch?

I like it as a cold weather patch lube.. but it’s absolutly useless as a bore preservative.

    Best common household lubricant?

Olive oil is great stuff! Mix it with beeswax and it’s even better

    Ken Netting rifle

Well, let me start by saying that Ken makes some FINE shooting irons, I would love to own one of his rifles or fowling pieces. It’s hard to say how you did because you didn’t include a purchase price, but I don’t blame you. Ken also stopped making custom orders a couple years ago, but he still...

Colonial Kibler on the way. Being followed by a Woodsrunner

I’ve shouldered the colonial, that helped me in making my desicion to buy a Woodsrunner. I love the woodsrunners weight and for me it shouldered perfect. I still wouldn’t be against buying a colonial for the right price .

Colonial Kibler on the way. Being followed by a Woodsrunner

I like a variety of calibers for squirrel and deer hunting. However if you don’t hunt, there is some wisdom in keeping your firearms in the same caliber.

    Bazinga!!!!!! Cracked.... What to do?

I’d prolly start over.. however if your determined to finish it off, I’d think about a countersunk wood screw.. then hide it with a plug and epoxy.

    Advice Needed

Honestly, I would find the bind and then fix it, either hump in the wood or bent tang caused it to break. Then weld it, and then possibly add an oversized washer and file that to fit? Without looking at it those would be my initial thoughts. I’m sure Jim will do right by you.

Bag, horn and some accessories I made

I like all that! I’ve been wanting to do a lathe turned applied tip for some time now.. you have now inspired me!

So I made a patch knife!

I really like that! Just the right size for any need!

    Astronomical cost of wood

Amish sawmills are your freind! I have several around me. Also any woodworking shops that are nearby. I never buy wood at a gunshow or even outlet store.. you’ll pay through the nose! Maybe should have asked on this very website? I’ve gotten some pretty good deals here,on some off the wall...

My Traditions Trapper Pistol Kit Build Log

When I put together my traditions trapper kit, I got rid of that weird hump and defined the lock panels, cut off that hangy down thingy on trigger guard, then I aged the brass .. I lost all my photos when I destroyed my cell phone last year, but it did turn out nice.

    Ted Jayson "Pathfinder"

I never met him in person, but I talked to him on the phone and emailed him back and forth. He was indeed a good guy. He had some very unfortunate things happen to him. May he now rest in peace.

    Johnson’s Paste Wax

That’s what I use it for and also coat my barrel with it. I also apply it to my powder horns, it seems to keep the beetles off them
