    Oh yes, the first guns I ever built were Dixie kits. At that time they had a stain called "ox blood" a very dark scarlet that aged nicely.

    Depends on what you're looking for. The ability to kill a deer or win a shooting match? Smaller bores are a bit more predictable in the short range, larger bores are better out at a bit farther.

    I guess we all do sorts' not much difference between a purse and a shooting bag. I made a nice shooting bag many moons ago that I still use, when my wife saw it she asked if I could make one like it for her to use as a purse, so I suppose we both carry one now.
