Caps at local Walmart if you really need them

LOL.....I can't tell you the number of times I have done that. I also ask how much of a discount for doing their jobs do I get for having to use self-checkout. They advertise how they hire using DEI, handicapped, and senior citizens. I think they need to reevaluate their metrics as it seems...

    Accuracy Issues

I concur. It does make a difference. I have a recipe (if you are interested) that really does well stopping leading and, at least for me, helps accuracy. As a full disclosure, it is a modification to Idaho Lewis' lube (which he modified from Bullshop's NASA lube).

I had the same experience when changing cans of powder from a load I worked up using an older can. Not only was it from an older to a new un opened can but it was a change of lot. I also experienced a group size change when using a different brand of op wads. One was slightly larger even though...

    USPS Fiasco

I have found the following: If it stays within the region, no issues. If it goes through Atlanta (or the southeast) it is a 50/50 chance of damage, 25% chance of being lost or stolen If it comes from the NorthEast, it will take one of several routes and take way too long and a 10% chance of...

    Lee 54cal 300gr or 380gr/elk

Excellent accounting of what it takes. I concur on all counts. Killing is one thing, recovering is another...especially in steep terrain and dense foliage. Failure to penetrate through and through with a 375 gr conical solid after hitting bone travelling at a brisk 1200fps (mv of 1435) at 85...

    Conical Terminal Performance Research

I have found that this helps considerably to maintain the integrity of the HP and to seat the conical for the best accuracy..especially the Hornady GP hp https://rmcoxyoke.com/product/rmc-universal-conical-bullet-starter/

    Accuracy Issues

I found switching from a old can of powder to a new can of powder makes a difference, at least in Triple 7. If nothing else has changed but time passing, I would, as you may be already thinking, that your powder is compromised and you are seeing the negative result.

    Conical Terminal Performance Research

Yes, felt wads help a lot. also look at your lube...Hard lube sheds unevenly and affects accuracy. I have had great luck with the no excuses bullets in the Thumper Carbines I developed. I shoot all my testing from a clean bore, swabbing out between shots with alcohol as I want the group to...

@Frontier's does a great job shooting his and has some great knowledge and products to support them. I have a pair of Ardesa 21" percussion 50 cal Carbines in 1:32 twist that I love. I killed a cow elk with a 54 cal CVA Frontier Hunter (made by Ardesa) last year. There is nothing wrong with...

NONE. I own several CVA and Traditions guns. I think the Spanish guns are great and have even been to the Ardesa factory when I was in Spain as the USMC Attaché. The Spanish are great gun makers and they will build anything to a desired price point. I have many tens of thousands invested in...
