    Pedersoli Brown Bess ?’s

Ya got me! That’s it! Well I better start whistling Drums & Fife because I got a Bess coming to me in the mail! Y’all are bad influences I tell you what. 🤣

What made you go with the carbine model? Any reason, or just want?

    Pedersoli Brown Bess ?’s

Good to know! When the time comes I’ll have to look into this patch and ball combo.

Couldn’t have said it better myself!

    Pedersoli Brown Bess ?’s

I am as well. But for me, it comes down to saying I have a Brown Bess, vs just having a fowling piece. Not taking anything away from Jim. But I like the idea of owning a replica Brown Bess. Albeit it's not 100% accurate, its close enough for me.

    Pedersoli Brown Bess ?’s

Yes I have heard that about the Bess, being a better suitor to shoot shot. I believe 11BangBang on Youtube made a video on that as well.

Yeah it's tough to say. A grand these days is two months of car payments for the average American, so I reckon some folks gotta figure out what's more important. Freedom to spend money, or their awesome jacked up F150 that nobody cares about 😂 I have the mindset of you get what you pay for, so...

    Pedersoli Brown Bess ?’s

Dixie is a bit cheaper at the moment, than muzzle-loaders.com :) I say I'm not too picky on the historical background on it, but here I am kind of about to eat my own words. I like the Bess specifically because of its history, and its time in the Colonies and the whole romanticized history of...

That thing is Purdy! Do you load a patch down with that .735 ball?

    Pedersoli Brown Bess ?’s

Have you ever tried just patch and ball? And why a .690 ball may I ask?

    Pedersoli Brown Bess ?’s

I hear ya. Especially when you start to think what else you could purchase that’s on a higher level of quality with that money. But I fear, this time next year they will only be more expensive.

I’m not too much of a stickler on it being correct-ish, as long as she is a shooter!

    Pedersoli Brown Bess ?’s

Howdy folks. I have been wanting to purchase a Pedersoli Brown Bess, I’ve been looking at 1777 charlies also but I think the B.B desire is stronger. Now this would be my first smoothie, and for those who have one I have some questions. #1. How do you like it? Fun to shoot? Too heavy? Gripes...

    Kibler Gap Question

Ah yes fair point. Unless I get some sort of direction from Jim I may leave it. I’d rather finish it, and it not be cured rather than finding out the hard way of an irreversible mistake

    Kibler Gap Question

Bree emailed me this morning requesting pictures, did that now waiting a response 👍

    Kibler Gap Question

Maybe I ought to pin it now, and see how the gap reacts? I mean if it’s tight on the tang, and tight on the lock side and probably tight low in the breech area. I can’t see how that won’t be sufficient? I don’t know just thinking out loud.

    Kibler Gap Question

To be honest, I have not pinned it to find out.

    Kibler Gap Question

Okay. I checked out their website, tons of goodies. Now sorry for sounding so naive but if it comes down to this, and needing to shim it, does good ole fashion wood glue work to put it together?

    Kibler Gap Question

Oh really? Okay good to know!

    Woodsrunner Question?

I watched a video on YouTube awhile ago with gentleman being interviewed who was a very skilled/well known long rifle builder, of course I can’t remember his name. But i believe he said something along the lines of these rifles in the 1700’s specifically around the revolution would cost a guy...
