Was Dutch right about wiping between shots?

I have a piece of vinyl tubing that fit inside the muzzle with a hollowed out antler on my end. Works great. Avoids the kiss.

What do you guys lube your C&B revolvers with?

I do use wads lubed with water to Ballistol 7:1 then dried in the sun. I also use 454 balls in my Pietta 1858 Rem. Only 15 gr of Schuetzen 3f. Reasonably accurate at 15 yds.

November 30 is National Mason Jar Day!

Best I’ve ever shot this revolver. Not a great score at 30 but nice group I think. Hope to have my rifle before EOM. She’s having her throat cleared by Bobby Hoyt.

My local postmaster insists on an answer. I told them a tool. Looks like USPS doesn’t always follow the law huh. I live at the southern border. I don’t know for sure but I’m guessing that there is a lot more scrutiny here. Legal or not. Regardless of what I answered, I think the weight and...

It wasn’t the barrel that attracted their attention. It was the ramrod thimbles attached to the barrel that they claim was mistook for what looked like ammo cartridges. I never said that it was sniffed by dogs either. Explain this. Would a ramrod thimble look like an ammo cartridge? How would...

Yup EXACTLY why I started this post. And I never said I know more than those with different experiences. Yes I had a different experience. Different than yours maybe. But that’s the point which you missed. Now YOU know that the PO may not follow the law.

Regarding of what the Po employees are ALLOWED or NOT allowed to do or say. They are pretty much protected from any misconduct. And your experiences may differ from one location to another. They are not consistently well managed.

I’m not sure who tried to tell me. What do you mean? I’ve shipped before and had no problem. This time was very different. No one tried to tell me anything. And I never said that I “knew more than they do”. Geez. Excuse me for relating my own specific personal experience so that others may...

First of all, I am not complaining. I m relating my actual personal experiences so that others may beware. I’m glad you haven’t had any problems yet. And I didn’t notice anyone bring politics into this except you. If you don’t have anything constructive to add, please just move along rather...

This is a valuable piece of factual information as opposed to the guys that think they know it all. I’ll print a copy of this document.

Well that’s good to know. Good for all of us to know. Are you saying that the PO didn’t ask me what was in the package? Because I was right there and they DID ask that question. Maybe they are not supposed to ask that question. But they DID.
  15. Salty

    anti-gun USPS

Wrong! Maybe it was that way in the distant past. But as I stated at the start, my package was packed and WAS X-RAYED! And they DID ask what’s in the box. Why are you disputing my personal recent experience? I’m not disputing yours as it may be different. I posted this a my true experience...

I have shipped before with no problem. This is unusual. I never said it was a conspiracy against middle aged white men. Geez. I’m 73 btw. Whats age got to do with it? Geez. Excuse me for warning others with my freaking experience. I’ll keep it to myself next time.

Thanks for the advice but I had it packed in a heavy triangular box. I was told that the PO x-rayed the box. Don’t know why. Liberals are getting sneaky.

I did. I know the owner of the pack and ship store. Actually Bobby Hoyt told me how to ship this. Not his fault or mine. Unfortunately my package passed through the hands of some gun hating liberal. Things are changing. I posted this to make others aware and use caution.

I posted this so others would learn from my experience. I don’t need your self righteousness. Ya know I’ve read your other postings. It seems you are always belligerent. Sure don’t need advice from you.

Wrong. When I carried it into the PO they escorted me out. Mr know-it-all. I’ve shipped via pack and ship previously without a problem. You don’t know spit.
