    Guns were made not to be looked at but to shoot. I have some pretty scarce WWI & II unmentionables and they get their limited range time now and then. Just use proper loads and good cleaning practices and enjoy using it.

    If you have an Academy or Basspro near you, sign up for restock notifications. Once you get notified buy the caps online (usually $12- $13 per tin) and have them delivered to the store and you pick them up, no shipping or hazmat fees.😉

    I have both Uberti in .36 and Pietta in .44. They are both excellent and the only complaint I have about Pietta is their location of all those ugly warnings and maker stamps. Uberti hides them under the loading lever. I compared it to the Pietta .44 frame and the Uberti .36 looks a tad smaller...

    If you want to nitrate the paper go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and get Spectricide Stump Remover. Dissolved in water works great nitrating coffee filter paper. I find since using the rolling papers I don’t need to nitrate .

    Nope, not a problem at all. They are lubed and will keep the fowling soft. Just load up in the cylinder, cap the nipples and make lots of smoke when they go bang. Remember to also lube up the arbor. I like Pam cooking spray for the arbor lube.

    I do not nitrate my curling papers because IMO is not necessary. The little paper residue left after 100 firings did not interfere with operation in any way. I find them to be very efficient.

    You are welcome. I use the Speer 148 grain HBWC that comes 500 to a box, they work really good in my Uberti Remington 58 Navy and Howell conversion cylinder.
