    I use an old Toothbrush to scrub and Q tips to wipe in tight areas, fully remove them every 4th or 5th time used. Don’t forget to use anti seize on the threads.

    I would think that being a petroleum based product it will react with BP and gum up things. I would save it for lubing unmentionables and metal parts requiring thicker lube depending on the tool and application.

    Both Uberti and Pietta are good but slightly larger than the original Beals design. Uberti has the ugly warning stamps hidden under the rammer. Pietta has them on the barrel sides, but easily ignored as I have both.😉 Conversion cylinders are easily swapped making the platform very versatile.

    We have those guys with the plastic black guns that blow through 300-400 rounds of 9mm in less than 20 minutes, I jokingly tell them they went through 300 rounds and I’m only on my 3rd cylinder lol.😉

    Hour glassing is simple and you can grind the edges in small increments till you get a better feel but don’t go too light otherwise you will get misfires. That will not give you an issue setting off caps. Mine was the same way till I worked the mainspring to lighten the pull.

    I hour glassed my main spring and that cut the atrocious hammer pull quite a bit. Is the replacement spring you are ordering rated for lower pull?
