    from over the pond (Germany)

Another Howdy and Welcome from Texas! We visited out AF Son twice while he was at Ramstein. We visited Garmisch over Christmas of 2019, and I agree, it was beautiful! Went up to Zugspitze, with the snow and ice blowing at 30mph, stinging our faces. We went to Christmas Markts all over Germany...

    WITHDRAWN Maynard Model 2

I think they were, but I'm not positive. I'll look, next time I go to town. The shop didn't have any ammo, so that previous post with the ammo photo was a help. When I see it again, I'll look, and pm you if this has already sold. Again, good luck! 🍀

    WITHDRAWN Maynard Model 2

I held a Maynard this past weekend, at a pawn shop in Conroe, TX. Museum quality, with 2 extra barrels. The barrels had the levers attached, too. But at $10K, I had to leave it there. Sorry for the slight hijack, I just get excited regarding things that caught my attention, and I know you're...

    Full Stock Barrel Removal

I clean the barrel like you do, and have had no problems. Remove and replace the pins carefully, and it cleans up nicely. Oil it and store it until next time.

    1842 pistol real or repro?

Off topic, but on topic, too: I have a post-war pistol made in France with Nazi markings. The New York importer stamped a bunch of them, since the pistol looks like a German-made wartime model. Full disclosure when I bought it, so no issues for me. But, yeah, someone with stamps can create lots...

I may be onto something here!

I admire Britsmoothy and his tales of hunting in Britain with his mighty dog Jess. He has been shooting bp for so many years that he makes a lot of us look like greenhorns. I have nothing but admiration and respect for Britsmoothy and Jess. Like I said, he would be rich if he could turn his...

I may be onto something here!

Brazos John said: It seems like "Did it years ago" could be your reply to most everything here! There aren't too many things that you haven't done! If only you could bottle and sell your experience, you'd be rich, instead of good-looking! I have NO idea what you mean! I meant for my comment to...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

I use the same style cart for Texas Army reenactments and Cowboy Action Shooting. Also, I found an old cart with hand-formed metal pieces that is the exact same size, and plan to reuse the metal. While on a trip to Germany, they had these carts hanging from the ceiling of a restaurant, and there...
