    Kibler sells a nice case.

    Kibler woodsrunner

I think there is more to it than just shorting the barrel. If that's all there is to it I don't think it would be taking them so long to get it into production.

    Are Shippers Targeting Guns?

I have always shipped guns in one of those cheap hard cases, and I bubble wrap the hard case. Then I put it in a box. So far so good.

    Kibler SMR length issue

I would build it and keep it. After that get the Woodsrunner. Two rifles are better than one, and if you get the Woodsrunner in 54 cal. you have two totally different calibers and gun types.

    Made the Kibler Leap

The right color stock makes all the difference in the world. I also obsess over the stock finish. The hard part is getting the color of the stock just the way you want it.

Do I need any more tools for shaping a stock blank?

You can never have too many tools. There is always something I want or need.

    Kibler SMR Arrived Today

My SMR arrived today also. I ordered mine in 40 cal with extra fancy maple, and it took right around 10 weeks. And yes it was worth the wait. The wood is beautiful and more than worth the cost.

How long before waxing a stock ?

I'm another one who doesn't use wax. Sometimes a little oil on the steel parts and then I wipe it down with a rag.
