Cool idea. What holds the cylinder in place and vertical? Thanks

I ended up getting a small tube of prussian blue at the local Napa. Thanks for the responses and suggestions.

    Inletting Black

Can this be made or where does one acquire it? Getting ready to inlet a brass buttplate on a Kentucky stock per another post I saw. All I can seem to find in Prussian blue and am afraid it might stain the stock wood. Thanks

    Traditions Trapper First Shots

What stain did you use to get the darker red color in the stock? I have a kit that is still unstarted and in the box along with a bunch of others. Trying to figure out which project is next. Looks great. Nice job.

    Cabela's black powder?

Bass Pro (in my opinion) has completely ruined Cabelas who really did use to be the premier outfitter. Now they carry cheap import product.

    Bluing Touch Up

Then don't be that guy. I suppose I could have lied or omitted the details of the weapon. I had a simple question on bluing touch up and figured since I posted it on the gun builder tab that fellas may have used the noted products and had experience. Sorry if I offended anybody.

    Bluing Touch Up

They are really pretty minimal and most would ignore them. I'm just OCD and it's a brand new 1000.00 rifle. Thanks for the feedback.

    Barrel finish?

Justin, what kind of file are you using? I have a 45 cal barrel that my late father-in-law polished to almost chrome. Now it won't take bluing. Sorry to sabatoge your post with another question. Thanks

    Bluing Touch Up

Last weekend I changed the rear barrel mounted sight on one of my guns to a Skinner barrel mounted peep. This particular gun is blued. The bluing under the area covered by the factory sight was just slightly scratched and the Skinner sight doesn't quite cover the scratches. Anybody used...
