    Primitive Rendezvous interior Alaska

Didn't know they even had one! We're usually in fish camp that time of year but since there's no king salmon fishing I'll have to check it out. Would be nice if there was a bit more info on that flyer.

    John Pruitt first round

My son finally got to try out his John Pruitt Smoothbore, needs to tighten up the grouping some before spring bear but a few more practice sessions should do it.

    BP in Alaska

No waiting till after the snow melts, he said his powder safe was buried under the snow and he wouldn't be able to get to it till it melted. Maybe by the end of the month or beginning of May? We just got another 5" of snow out here........................

    John Pruitt smoothbore

John Pruitt's muzzleloaders are what I would call contemporary, doesn't follow any particular style. I can only hope to be as spry as he when I'm 82 y/o!

Can anyone attest to the quality of this bag from crazy crow?

If I remember correctly I think these quilled pouches are being produced somewhere down in south America.

    John Pruitt smoothbore

My son got his first muzzleloader a 62 Smoothbore that John Pruitt made for him. I can not thank him enough for his kindness and generosity in helping him get started. He's planning on using it for spring bear which is just a few months away.

Tell me about this J. Brown Smoothbore .62

I have J. Brown Fowler that I've had for many years and it's a nice gun and is very accurate. If I were you I'd fix it up how you want it and go hunting.

    Shooting Marbles?? Is that smart?

I've considered the steel ball bearings as well for big tough game where soft lead would not get the penetration I would want. I might have to do some experimenting with my 62 smoothbore this summer.

smoothbore .62 groups as a shotty

You could try #7 shot, would fill in some of those gaps and still work for squirrel
