If you just ordered a pietta

New from Midway. Ordered it Monday , got it yesterday. It could have been polished better in a few places before it was finished too. You get what you pay for I guess.

If you just ordered a pietta

There are burrs and sharp edges everywhere on the frame. My last one, an 1851 wasn't this bad.

    Midway Traditions/Pietta 1860

Yeah I've been watching the prices too. Battlehawk had it for 270 plus 20 shipping-no tax. I should have bought it then but I've been waiting on a $200 used one.

    Midway Traditions/Pietta 1860

Well that post just cost me $300. You would think with them only being that much new and delivered you could find a used one for less than $250. But nooooo, everybody wants north of 300 for theirs. Sorry, I've been trying not to spend that 300 for 6 weeks now.

Don't put words in my mouth. I never said it was difficult. I said it was different. You wouldn't understand.

If you had ever had the freedom to go hunting , shoot any deer that pleased you without having to tell the Gov, a thing about it, you might feel different. Managing a herd for horns sounds great, but it changes everything. Rules beget rules beget more rules.

The state will do this for a while to get you used to the idea, then they will take it a step further some time in the future.
