    I finished installing the butt plate and sights on my Kibler SMR. Need to install the barrel pins and thimbles before I can start the finish work. I'm very impressed with quality of this kit.

    I received a notice that my Kibler SMR kit is ready to ship. Need to clear off my workbench, get a new candle for inletting and sharpen my tools. Only a little longer in the waiting club.

    What did you do today

    Cut the excess length of the tang screw for my 36 flintlock that I recently install a new set trigger in. This was done after I finally reassembled an old model 1915 Stevens Favorite 22. Later installed a new sink faucet in one of bathrooms in my personal care home.

    Ordered my Kibler kit

    Ordered mine about a month ago. SMR, 45, to hunt in PA. Also upgraded the wood to fancy. Now I'm also in the waiting club. It should be worth the wait.

    What was your first Muzzleloader?

    Navy Arms Zouave as a High School graduation present. You could not easily buy minnies locally, in 1971, so I had to start casting them. That started another rabbit hole to go down. Still have the Zouave. .

    Does anyone have caps in stock at a reasonable price?

    My LGS had 6 tins yesterday, CCI #11 @ $5.99 also some musket caps. Duke's in New Castle PA. They don't carry real black powder.

    Show off your first muzzleloader!

    Zoli Zouave in 1971. Bullets not available so had to cast my own, cast iron lyman pot,single burner Colman stove. Still casting for nearly everything I shoot.

    Started casting in 1971 with the graduation gift of Navy Arms Zouave. Minies were not available. Have been shooting hand cast round balls this summer.
