.62 smoothbore as an all around gun?

I can't recall the source of this information, but it certainly makes sense. Mountain man was resupplying to go back up into the hills, the shop owner was trying to talk him into "upgrading" to a percussion rifle instead of his "old" flinter. The Mountain man replied, "What happens if I use all...

Back in the day, I served with an Air Cav troop at Ft. Carson, CO. Had a pilot lose his .38, during an "exercise". We had to go back to ever LZ and conduct a shoulder to shoulder search of the LZ. Only took 3 or 4 times before item was recovered. Had the chance to do the same for compasses and...

I left my clip knife in my pants pocket one washing day, good thing wifey has learned to check them! She weren't none too happy when she found my knife, but at least it hadn't gone through the new washing machine!

Back when I was employed by our Uncle, was in an Air Cavalry Troop as an Infantryman and later a Recon Scout, same job different MOS. I was a young buck, 10 foot tall and bullet-proof! Had those soft yellow roll 'em up and stuff 'em in your ears, but that was too much trouble, back then. Fast...

    Fort de Chartres fall Rendezvous.

Kibler has announced a Hawken Kit in the works.

In Limon, Colorado, out on the Eastern Plains, they have a statue of a frontiersman. He carries a double barrel shotgun. One loaded with a slug or buckshot for large game, the other with birdshot for small game/birds. Just my two cents worth!
